Lessons in Stone Therapy: Rose Quartz

During the transition from the old GoodSpellBook website to the new one, we failed to get many posts up last month. This includes our crystal therapy posts which educate readers on the symbolic and healing characteristics of precious stones. Rose quartz is one of my favorite crystals, not just because of it's recognizable smokey, pink color but because it is considered to be the most effective love crystal. The term "love" is vague… is this crystal used to draw love in or heal broken hearts? In many ways it's both. Rose quartz emits both physical and emotional healing energy.
Rose quartz is meant to comfort the owner by accessing the heart chakra, thereby healing and balancing the center of your body responsible for storing your emotional history. In simple terms: it targets the center in your body experiencing stress or turmoil (the heart) and helps to restore it to a more emotionally healthy state. This can help people with rose crystals to open their heart to new relationships and opportunities.
This stone is also said to enhance feelings of self worth. Rose quartz is probably a suitable stone for individuals that struggle with physical insecurities, or simply a lack of emotional support or love in their life.
