I haven't always been a supporter of crystal therapy. I had tried crystal therapy once before, purchasing a rose quartz fresh out of a relationship. This crystal would end up shattering, leaving me convinced that my love life was cursed and my heart permanently damaged. My faith wasn't renewed until my good friend and fellow GSB contributor Savannah, mailed me a chunk of citrine from her trip abroad.

Citrine is a fantastic crystal for success, both in business and in life. It provides luck and good energy to the owner, creative inspiration, and drive to take action. It was the perfect little gift as I was making moves to launch The Good Spell Book website.

My experimentation with crystal therapy began out of desperation... desperation to succeed, and desperation to control my surrondings. I started carrying my citrine with me and noticed an almost immediate revival of my energy. I found that I was working harder and was generally less stressed with this particular stone around.

Citrine is a particularly wonderful crystal that can be identified by it's unique yellow-brown coloring. This stone can span a range of colors from burnt orange to lemony yellow. Often referred to as the yellow amethyst or fake topaz of crystals, citrine actually derives its name from its color, not unlike a citrus fruit. Medicinally, citrine can be used to aid in digestion- which is linked to the health of our skin, hair, and nails. It is beneficial to every zodiac sign, and should only be avoided in the case of hot headed individuals who have a typically high natural energy level. Locate your own citrine crystal to give your energy level a boost this holiday season! With options ranging from jewelry, to key chains, to tea light holders, you'll be able to find a citrine crystal that suits your needs and tastes.
