Any chance I get, I like to express how important it is to surround yourself with positive things in your life. That also applies to your personal surroundings. Your home should be a sacred place that includes your mental health as a top priority. Having a tranquil space to relax is incredibly important in order to maintain a stress-free lifestyle. Your inner self will reflect outwards for others to see and appreciate when you furnish your space. Start off by analyzing your current lifestyle. Living in a box-like apartment building proved to bring me little happiness. This was enough to set off sparks and ultimately lead me to the magical home I live in today. If you are happy with the place you reside but need an immediate, but less drastic change, a simple solution is decorating. Interior style is a great way to brighten your sprits. Even if you rent, there is no harming in throwing on a new paint color. It's temporary and affordable.

Having a space you enjoy waking up in and look forward to inviting others to is essential when putting together a peaceful domain. Cosmetic alternatives make a major difference when you're trying to bring a room together. The right accessories can be jewels when it comes to finding the missing puzzle piece for your home. Use your interests as a guide for transforming your space. Hang independent art or display collections. Overall, if you are uncomfortable and displeased with how a room looks, build from the floor up. Focus on creating an area that comes together in harmony and can be a conversation piece. Organize those drawers and closets that always seem to be cluttered. Buy some plants from a local nursery or start an indoor herb garden. Studies have shown that plants create an environment that boosts performance levels, purify the air, and improve your overall mood- not to mention they look pretty. Donate unused items in exchange for second hand finds or recycled goods- which is far more effective financially and is eco-friendly. You can start in small doses by restricting your urge to buy overpriced, mass produced items, and instead support handcrafted items made with quality and love. You could also commission an artist to create an original piece, specially for you. Soon enough, you will have reshaped your home into a charming abode that radiates optimism!

I am constantly dreaming up all these little, home projects to complete. I meticulously rearrange knick knacks, art, and plants all over my house until I'm satisfied because decorating can be meditative to me. I hope that I've inspired you to take a look at the walls that make up your home, and visualize a space reflecting your own personal interests.
